How about some dark tales of duality and betrayal? What could easily work as concept for a metal album, is a bit different music-wise in case of LOW TREBLE, but goes well together nevertheless. In July, the Greek audiovisual project introduced “Dr. Treble” and her menacing madness to their listeners with the same-named EP. A few months later, on December 10th, she got company by “Mr. Low”, who is the egomaniacal answer to her snowballing recklessness.

LOW TREBLE's music might be best described as funky rock'n roll, with the groovy bass lines making the feet move from the beginning, also supported by the percussion. The guitar sound brings in a strong 80s vibe, but sometimes switches to a darker, heavier tone, which fits well to the story telling. The vocals give the music the right expression, alternating between a sung and nearly spoken performance.

Compared to the first EP "Dr.Treble", that leaned more into the pop direction with some "Night Fever" vibes, I like the second part of the story better because of the higher dynamic and the more varied song-writing. The concept of both EPs is consistent, including the cover artwork. All-together, "Mr. Low" is a short, but entertaining listen with a pinch of craziness, which is always welcomed here :-)
